Social Media and the Impact for the Future of Gymnastics – By Craig Zappa, Director/Co-Owner, ENA Paramus
Ever wonder how you always hear about a particular gym?
Now, it’s their social media presence. I myself am now following all the collegiate teams and all the clubs I can find via their twitter or Facebook feeds. In the past, in order to find out what a club or team was doing was to go to each website and search for information on them. Now we can see what each team or club is doing on a daily basis.
How can this help my club?

This past summer the good people from Tumbl Trak were nice enough to send me some products to demo. They sent to my gym in NH and camp in NY

Melissa Doucette fails at a full pirouette to Deltchev. Although we are all sympathetic- we do take great joy in others mistakes. Watch as her friend Kate sprays her with water.
Make sure you watch thru to the end where she does make it!

It really has been a great 5 days getting this project up and running. I have some great contributors articles next week and some great drills and product reviews. Thank you to all who have contributed and thank you all for your comments and questions. I am really looking forward to this website really going places!
I am sure that most everyone has a competition this weekend. Good luck! Keep focused! Learn something and share something.
What to Keep in mind for next week:

Gymnastics doesn’t define us. It only shapes who we are as people. It is a piece of the puzzle to the larger picture we call life. The lessons from all the pain, suffering, perseverance & joy we experience in the gym goes far beyond the gym doors. We are a special breed. No other athlete works harder than we do. No one can learn the lessons we have because they haven’t experienced our path. We are one of a kind. A chosen kind to serve in this amazing sport we call gymnastics.
